RFID Tribe Editorial Guidelines
RFID Tribe Messages (using the RFID Tribe group email) RFID Tribe members may send messages to RFID Tribe worldwide membership by sending email to rfidtribe@yahoogroups.com. Messages sent to the group email address will pass through an editorial filter and will be sent out to all RFID Tribe members. Messages should be of interest to the majority of the group. Messages of interest to smaller sub-groups may be sent to any of RFID Tribe's chapters or special interest groups.
Appropriate messages for RFID Tribe...
- Send items that benefit the group and deal with RFID technology, RFID practices or markets
- Highlight a need or issue that you need solved and you believe someone in the Tribe can solve.
Questions or needs should be specific. It is best to tell the group. "Here is what I know, here are some references (articles, white papers, cases) related to the subject. Here is what I don't know/understand. So, here is what I need from the group."
- Send a news article of benefit to the Tribe. It is best to preface the news article with some insightful
comment from the sender describing why the news article is relevant or meaningful. Most RFID Tribe members are RFID industry experts and do not need anyone to perform an RFID "news clipping" service from publicly available news feeds. Members value insight into what the news means - an insight that cannot be found in the publicly available article. RFID Tribe members value extra insight from industry experts that cannot be found in publicly available news feeds.
- Quoted articles and white papers should mention the original source and give recognition to the original
source's authors and/or authoring organizations.
- Write/author an original news article or original white paper that benefits the Tribe
- Inform the Tribe of an event of interest
