RFID Tribe - How to Host an Event or Speak at an Event

RFID Tribe benefits when members with unique expertise contribute to the Tribe.
Members host RFID Tribe events or may speak at RFID Tribe events.  The typical event is
a RFID Tribe monthly
chapter meeting or RFID Tribe special interest group (SIG).   RFID
Tribe members benefit from each member's unique contribution.

Guidelines for hosting an RFID Tribe event

Events should have a minimum of 25 registered participants (not including the host or the
speakers).
Events with less than 25 registered participants do not qualify for hosting
credits.

Events notices and invitations should arrive to invitees a minimum of two weeks in
advance to allow time for registration.  Event notices should include information on the
date, time, place, directions, meeting agenda, speakers, cost per participant and
instruction on how to register for the event on the RFID Tribe website.

Copies of event notices are sent to the local RFID Tribe leader (
Chief) and relevant
interest groups.

Host must provide free (no charge) use of a facility to RFID Tribe.

Enterprises may not distribute or place marketing collateral at or near the meeting place
unless they are a listed event sponsor.

A host recognizes the sponsors at the appropriate time during the event.   A host
introduces the speakers and their brief biographies.

Guidelines for speaking at an RFID Tribe event

Events should have a minimum of 25 registered participants (not including the host or the
speakers).  Events with less than 25 registered participants do not qualify for speaking
credits.

Speakers should discuss a subject or make a presentation that is relevant and valuable to
the audience.

Speakers should not promote their firm or themselves.  The event host will introduce each
speaker to event participants.  Participants may discuss questions and make connections
with the speaker after the event.
